A grim outlook

The current situation for this country is one that is very sad and depressing… and why is that? The blame can rest on the shoulders of our President and this administration.
Our country has suffered a sever blow in its global standing. A country that once was a beacon of freedom and hope to others is now a broken state of fear with it’s constitution hanging in shreds and its people wondering aimlessly in need of a strong leader. If you look at history and the trends that lead to the fall of great nations, we can see that the current trends mirror or in most cases out-pace those. Political divide, Imperialistic domination, religious crusades, pseudo dictatorship.. all these elements are seemingly tearing at our country. Its very bad when the leader of your country sets out to speak and all you hear and see is a personal agenda being deceivingly fed to the American people.
Even worse –less so now than before– is the American people eating it up. The republican party is supported by complete unintelligent ‘red’ states and people who can not think constructively or independently on the ‘issues’ and who are very limited in their knowledge of global affairs. Anyone who has seen the movie Borat can see this from the scenes in the lower middle states. ‘Middle America’ is what we call it. Good old Nascar-watching beer-drinking, construction worker of America. These people have no idea how the globe works. Global warming? Oh its something cooked up by agenda pushers to old back the right. Naive and simple these people are. But is this the way it is supposed to work? I mean, this is freedom right? We have the ability to be active or not.. have our own thoughts on matters, and support who we wish. But when you look at how politics work, republicans are very smart and clever in the way that they use fear to gain political ground. Bush won in ‘04 because 9/11 and ‘terror’ was still fresh on the American’s minds. Democrats were made to look weak..
